Children should be closely monitored around water parks, pools, and in the bathtub. They have fun playing in the water, splashing around, swimming, playing ball, and more. But they can fall, drown, hit something, and slip. You have to make sure your kids know not to run around pools. This is because it is very dangerous and they can get hurt very badly. Kids have gotten hurt before and some of them have had to go to the hospital due to a broken bone, bad cut, or head injury that may have caused a concussion or worse.
Make sure if they eat that they do not go into the water for an hour because a cramp can cause them to drown. When you get a cramp in the water it can get worse and worse as you stay in there and all you can think about is the pain not the water. If your kids do not know how to swim or swim well, you need to be in there with them until they know how and always use a flotation device that is approved for saving them. This way they will not get pulled under the water. Teach them to swim in shallow water, not in deep water so they will have their feet on the floor of the pool.
Make sure that they are good swimmers before you let them do it themselves. For little kids like babies or toddlers, watch them closely when it comes to bath time as well because it takes very little water for them to drown. Water can get in their lungs and that is not good. A drowning child will turn blue and you can lose them due to the water. A bath tub is like a pool to a small child. They can splash around, try to swim or move in the water, and like to get wild in there. It is dangerous because they can slip on the floor of the tub and they can drown in it or at the very least become strangled.
To help stop kids from slipping, you can put stick on bath mats on the bottom of the tub. This will help them from slipping, falling, or moving around a lot when they sit down. This helps prevent them from getting hurt or worse. But with babies you have to hold them or sit them in a baby seat because they can not hold themselves up. You have to be careful because the soap and the water causes the child to be very slippery, and they can easily slip through your fingers. Also you have to watch when you pour water over their heads because the water can get in their lungs that way too. Just watch what you do and what they do in the water.
